Success Story – Oct – Mrs. Welch
Mrs. Welch came to Mira Vista after a ground level fall at home resulting in a fracture to her spine. Today, Mrs. Welch was able to complete her activities of daily living, transfers with a rolling walker with supervision, and walking with a rolling walker 250 feet with stand-by assist.
Success Story – Sept – Mr. Barnes
Mr. Barnes came to Mira Vista after a fall at home resulting in multiple fracture in his arms, leg and ribs leaving him with restrictions on weight bearing status. With hard work, determination, and a custom therapy plan. Mr. Barnes can transfer with limited assistance from caregivers, performing activities of daily living with set up assistance, and is able to walk short distances in parallel bars.
Success Story – Aug – Mrs. Armstrong
Mrs. Armstrong came to Mira Vista after a ground level fall at home resulting in a lower extremity fracture. At discharge, Mrs. Armstrong was able to complete her activities of daily living with minimal assistance, perform transfers with a rolling walker with supervision, and was able to walk short distance with caregiver assistance.
Success Story – July – Ms. Childress
Ms. Childress lives at Mira Vista and was referred to therapy services following a decline in overall mobility. Thanks to our dedicated therapy team, and Ms. Childress’s motivation, and hard work, now Ms. Childress is enjoying participating in facility activities with improved endurance and stability.
Success Story – June – Connie Fair
Ms. Connie Fair arrived at Mira Vista Court after a hospitalization due to an infection to her right foot. She worked diligently with the Physical and Occupational therapy team daily, remaining motivated throughout her sessions. We are happy to report that Ms. Fair is now able to transfer with very little assistance and her endurance level with activities has improved tremendously.
